TELEHEALTH: Unique Family Service is considered “essential services” and we are exempt from the Stay-at-Home order issued by the state. We are taking steps to modify operations to be able to continue to offer services to our clients and will keep you posted on any changes in the near future.
The health and well-being of our clients, staff and communities is the highest priority of Unique Family Service. We are committed to serving our clients during this pandemic and our team is working diligently to implement proper safety precautions so that we can continue to provide the support and services that clients rely on.
We are closely monitoring and following the recommendations of public health authorities on the federal, state and local level to assure the safety of us all. Some of the measures we are undertaking are:
- While UFS has high sanitation protocols, staff will be more frequently disinfecting common areas, door handles, tables and etc.
- In accordance with Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, employees that are experiencing cold or flu symptoms will refrain from the workplace.
- To limit the possible exposure of COVID-19 to our clients and staff, we are not allowing visitors at this time.
- Using the Center for Disease Control and Prevention guideline of six feet of social distance when possible and limiting group settings to under 10 people.
To keep ourselves safe and to prevent exposure, here are some guidelines from Center for Disease Control Prevention:
- Clean your hands often by washing for at least 20 seconds each time. For hand sanitizers, make sure it is at least 60% alcohol and rub vigorously.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unclean hands.
- Avoid close contact if possible.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of your elbow; then clean your hands immediately.
